How Nail Salons on Fort Apache Road Go Green in 2025

Green Nail Salon in Las Vegas

In the last few years, sustainability in the beauty world has gone from a buzzword to a baseline. What used to be a niche request—like “Do you have anything paraben-free?”—is now something clients expect across the board. And honestly, we’re glad. We’re proud to no longer be the only nail salon in southwest Las Vegas focusing on sustainable products and services.

At Vibe Nail Bar, we’ve always believed beauty should feel good in every sense. That means safer ingredients, cleaner spaces, better products, and choices that don’t harm the environment. As more of our guests ask for natural or eco-friendly services, we’ve shifted to meet those expectations—and we’re still evolving.

So, what’s actually happening in 2025? Here’s a look at how beauty and sustainability blend across services like manicures, pedicures, facials, lashes, and waxing—and what we’re doing about it.

More Clean, Less Waste

One of the biggest shifts this year is how the industry is tackling waste.

More brands are switching to refillable containers, biodegradable packaging, and shipping materials that don’t stick around for decades. Nail polish brands now offer glass bottles with compostable lids. Lash adhesive companies are moving toward recyclable tubes. And esthetician skincare lines are finally offering bulk-size, refillable options for spas and salons—like us.

These changes might sound small, but when you think about how many single-use items a salon might go through in a week, it adds up fast. We’re working very hard to reduce our single-use plastic usage in all areas of the salon.

Safer Ingredients That Still Work

Years ago, “natural” often meant “not effective.” That’s not the case anymore. Now, many of the best-performing skincare and nail care products are also the cleanest.

We’ve swapped out older formulas for newer ones that are free from formaldehyde, parabens, phthalates, and synthetic dyes. Whether it’s your cuticle oil, your face serum, or the gel we use during waxing, chances are it’s plant-based, pH-balanced, and made without harsh additives.

There’s a huge push toward transparency in labeling, and we think that’s a good thing. People want to know what’s being put on their skin—and we want to feel good about what we’re using, too.

Manicures and Pedicures Are Getting Greener

Traditional polish isn’t going anywhere, but the ingredients inside are changing.

A lot of the brands we use now are labeled “7-free,” “10-free,” or even “21-free.” That refers to how many potentially harmful chemicals they leave out. We also stock water-based options for clients with extra-sensitive skin or allergies.

And yes—waterless manicures and pedicures are on the rise. These services skip the soaking step, reducing water waste and cutting down the risk of bacteria. The results are just as polished (no pun intended), and many of our guests say they actually prefer it.

If you’re used to traditional pedis but open to a more sustainable alternative, just ask us.

Facials That Don’t Leave a Footprint

One of the most exciting shifts has been in skincare. In 2025, the best facial products are plant-powered, backed by clinical research, and packaged with less waste in mind.

At Vibe Nail Bar, our facial menu now includes options that are truly good for your skin. Many of the masks and serums we use are made by companies that run on solar energy or use ethically sourced ingredients.

We’ve also moved toward reusable tools when possible. That means fewer cotton rounds and more washable, antimicrobial facial sponges and cloths. It’s better for your skin—and better for the planet.

Lashes With a Lighter Impact

Lash extensions used to be one of the most waste-heavy services in beauty. Now, that’s shifting.

Today, many lash trays are made from recycled plastic or paperboard. The lashes themselves? Many of them are now vegan synthetic fibers designed to mimic mink or silk—without any animal involvement.

Even lash glue comes in newer formulations with fewer chemical irritants. The process is still safe and effective, but it’s better suited for sensitive eyes and healthier for long-term use.

We’ve also adopted smarter lash mapping techniques. This reduces time, improves retention, and cuts down on the number of wasted lashes during each application.

Waxing That’s Kinder to Skin and Earth

Waxing has come a long way, too. If you’re still imagining harsh strips and overly perfumed wax pots, don’t worry. The products have improved.

Many modern wax options now contain natural resins and essential oils. It’s designed to be gentler on the skin and easier to clean up without petroleum-based solvents. Even post-wax care is cleaner—think aloe, witch hazel, and vitamin E, not artificial fragrance.

And just like other services, we’ve started moving away from single-use plastics in waxing. Our applicators are biodegradable, and we’ve cut down on disposable gloves by switching to medical-grade washable alternatives for certain treatments.

Real Change, One Choice at a Time

Does all this mean we’ve “perfected” sustainable beauty? Not at all. But it does mean we’re trying—and improving. Every product we switch out, every material we recycle, and every refill station we install makes a difference. And when our guests support those efforts, it matters even more.

We know sustainability looks different for everyone. Maybe for you, it’s choosing a vegan lash style. Maybe it’s asking for the waterless pedicure next time. Maybe it’s just being more aware of what’s in your skincare.

Whatever your version looks like, we’re here to help you make choices that feel right for you—and support the planet along the way.
